Ballenger/Break the Grey

These are a just a few randoms I grabbed while on stage at the Ballenger/Break the Grey show at Otsego High School last week. I have a few more on other cards that I'll go back through, but I was primarily shooting video and took the opportunity to snag a few photos here and there.

Winter Model Session 1 - Alyssa

So here's the thing. Round about this time of year, I'm pretty much only working as a business owner and restructuring the direction of my company, Rhino Media Productions. Two sides of my brain fight against each other - the leadership side and the artist/photog side. So to keep me on my toes artistically, I'm doing a series I'm creatively calling the Winter Model Sessions. Today I had some fun with my friend Alyssa Bonnewell, who is always game for this type of thing and has a stellar attitude. I had planned several different fun elements of this shoot that I wanted to do, but when I woke up this morning, the rain had another plan for us. So we decided to just roll with it. While these photos aren't really ground breaking for me, it still was a great opportunity to crack into my creative side during the slow months.  Stay tuned for more from this shoot.

On the Radio

Today I had the opportunity to represent Rhino Media Productions as a member of the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce. Fun experience. The DJ, Benson, was a great guy and made a Seinfeld reference, which won me over.

December Art hop girls

These girls knew how to rock a photo booth AND they represented at the same time. For that, they get to be in my blog. :)

The Eagle Shoot

What a blast. We shot our Doritos "Crash the Superbowl" contest commercial this past Saturday and spent the first four hours just putting on the costumes - a pretty big step forward for us as a company and I'm pretty pumped to have the final product submitted! These are some behind the scenes shots from the wardrobe assembly.
Special thanks to: Dan Martinez, Jonathan Jermyn, Jeremy Angeletti, Chelsea Burrows, Tori Gebolys, Andy Adriance, Brandon Coy - who all helped during the shoot.
Other special thanks to: Sara Glupker, Megan Carra, Anna Romeo for costume and nest assembly, Park Trades Center, Kyle and Becky Romeo for location usage.

Just starting out..

About half way there...

Abbi Williamson - Dowagiac Senior

Abbi has incredibly beautiful red hair. It made this shoot a joy, that and how cool she is. She's the eldest of my cousin Tasha's kids and I remember when she had her, I was in 8th grade and had a crush on a girl named Abby, so I thought, "what a great name..." Now she's going to graduate high school. Does that mean I'm old?

NOTE: the girls didn't want to touch the fence because I had previously shocked them by touching the electric fence then touching them - end note.
